THE GEORGIA WATER USE / WATERSHED PROJECT

Where permitted agricultural water withdrawals are accurately allocated to watersheds and river basins.

This part of the Georgia Statistics System contains data for Georgia's 159 counties, 52 watersheds and 14 river basins. For each watershed and river basin the data are organized into various tables and graphs. These illustrate the potential errors that can be between actual permit numbers and land area based theoretical estimates. Such errors could be problematic if county level water use data were used in a wateshed or river basin management system.
