Georgia Statistics System: Data from the 2010 US Census

This part of the Georgia Statistics System will deliver analyses of selected data from the official United States 2010 Census. The Census Bureau released these results in July, 2011. The data will be incorporated into next year's Georgia County Guide. Until then, you can use this application to access the latest data.

You can choose among 51 variables from these areas of interest: general population, racial, households and housing characteristics. Note that starting with the 2010 Census, only the "short form" questionnaire will be used. Hence we have a small number of variables to report. In years past Census also used the "long form" that was administered to about 1/6 of households. From this we got information about poverty rates, commuting to work, etc. Since 2005 this information has been part of the American Community Survey. For a good explanation of the changes click on this website at the University of Missouri.
